Warming up a bit this afternoon

CORPUS CHRISTI — It's another chilly morning here in the Coastal Bend. Temperatures have dropped into the upper 30s to lower 40s. However, this will give way to sunny and warmer weather conditions this afternoon. Look for a daytime high around 71 degrees. The winds will be light out of the southwest at 5 to 10 miles per hour. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies with some patchy fog. Look for an overnight low around 48 degrees. We will see abundant sunshine and above average temperatures for the first half of the workweek. Daytime highs will be in the mid 70s. The next cold front will arrive late on Wednesday. There is a slight chance for a few showers with the frontal passage. Temperatures will be in the mid 60s for Thursday and Friday.
