We are closely watching Tropical Storm Beta in the Gulf which is forecast to move toward the mid-Texas coast as it strengthens the next couple days. The upper level winds are weak and there continues to be a lot of uncertainty in it's path which could change. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect south of Port Aransas and a Hurricane Watch from Port Aransas to the northeast. All of the coast is under a Storm Surge Watch.

Today will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s and northeast winds at 10-20 mph, gusting to 25 mph. Clouds will increase early Sunday with showers and t-storms reaching the coast through the afternoon with north winds increasing to 20-35 mph.

Rain bands with heavy rain will increase Sunday night through Tuesday as the storm brushes the coast north of Corpus Christi and slowly tracks northeast. At this time, the highest impacts from the storm are expected north of Corpus Christi if the forecast path remains the same. Please check for updates frequently.
