Tropical Storm "Hanna" is forming in the west-central Gulf, and will make landfall on the middle Texas coast, near Corpus Christi, on Saturday.
This will be a wind-and-rain event for the Coastal Bend, and not just rain.
The system is being steered by upper-level high pressure to the north.
This will result in several days of at least scattered thundershowers through early next week.
Tonight will be tranquil with mainly clear skies and a low of 76.
Friday will still be hot and sticky, but with a mix of clouds and sun and increasing thundershowers during the afternoon and evening, and a high of 92.
Friday night through Saturday, expect numerous showers and tropical downpours with locally heavy rain possible and flooding in flood-prone areas. Expect a low of 77 and a high of 88.
More tropical showers are expected on Sunday with highs in the 80s.
