After weeks of upper-level high pressure dominating our weather, it is about to shift to the north.
This will gradually open up the Gulf of Mexico and the tropics, and slowly produce some rain for the area.
Our highs will come down a few degrees along with our overnight lows and our winds will be more normal.
Tonight, expect mainly clear skies, rather tranquil with a low of 75.
Friday, expect more clouds mixed with some sun, less wind, and not quite as hot, with a stray shower and a high of 93.
Friday night will be more tropical, with isolated showers near the coast, generally light winds, and a low of 73.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy with some afternoon sunshine, generally light winds, and a high near 90.
More sun and hotter again on Sunday.
The tropics continue to be quiet for now.
