There are two cold fronts in the forecast. The first one is this evening, and the second, stronger one is Friday evening.

Both fronts will produce cooler temperatures and some rain that is badly needed for the area. The better shot at rain will be Friday evening into Saturday.

Mother's Day weekend will be unusually cool, especially compared to recent temperatures and also normal levels.

Tonight, expect a line of scattered-to-isolated thundershowers to approach from the north and weaken near the coast as a cold front pushes through.

In spots, the rain will be locally heavy. Expect a low tonight of 68.

Wednesday we will have isolated shower in the morning, otherwise breezy and much cooler with some late-day sun and a high of 82.

Wednesday night will be mainly clear and comfortable with a low of 65 and a light easterly breeze.

Thursday we will have a mix of clouds and sunshine, and it will go from breezy in the morning to windy during the afternoon, humid and warmer with a high of 86.

Rain-cooled air will result in temperatures staying in the 70's on Saturday and in the upper 50's on Mother's Day morning.
