CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Arctic air will continue to hold in the area through this weekend and much of next week with a powerful secondary surge Sunday evening.
We have watches out for winter weather, dangerous wind chills, and very cold temperatures beginning Sunday evening and lasting through Monday night.
Tonight, will be cloudy and very cold with drizzle and a low of 35.
Saturday will be another unseasonably cold day with clouds and drizzle but a little less wind allowing the temperature to rise to 42 for the high.
Saturday night will continue to be cloudy and cold with a low of 36 and areas of drizzle.
Sunday will also be cloudy but not quite as cold with patchy areas of drizzle or light rain by late afternoon and a high of 47.
Brutally cold air arrives Sunday evening with freezing rain or sleet and temperatures collapsing into the 20's Sunday night.
