The combination of a stalling cold front and disturbances embedded with the southwesterly flow aloft moving over the area will produce some significant rainfall for the parched South Texas area mainly late Friday night through early Saturday afternoon.
Sunday will, no doubt, be the driest day of the weekend if you plan to be outdoors.
Tonight will be breezy, warm, and sticky with a low of 72 under cloudy skies.
Friday, expect considerable cloudiness with only an isolated shower; a breezy, warm and humid day, with a high of 84.
Friday night we will have decreasing winds (except near rainfall activity), scattered showers, and a low of 67.
Saturday showers and a few thunderstorms are likely, then it will be breezy and cooler with a high of only 75.
Rain-cooled temperatires in the lower 60's are expected Saturday night, and then drier conditions on Sunday.
