Big changes in our cool dry weather pattern for the weekend

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The combination of an upper-level disturbance and a surface cold front will produce major changes to our current weather pattern.

Our weather will slowly deteriorate on Saturday with much wetter weather for Sunday followed by wind and unseasonably cold temperatures.

Tonight, will be clear and tranquil and cold with a low near 40.

Saturday not as nice with increasing cloudiness breezy and cool with a high of 59.

Saturday night rain developing around midnight and likely throughout the night with a cool low of 51.

Sunday showers and thundershowers likely especially over the eastern half of the area with locally heavy rain near the coast ( 1-2+ inches) and a high of only 57.

Windy and much colder Sunday night and Monday as the rain ends with slowly clearing skies.
