CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It turned out to be a pretty pleasant end to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend.
The afternoon high temperatures were a little bit cooler than we saw on Saturday, when we made it up to 99 degrees.
Temperatures were in the mid 90's for much of the areas. However, that is still well-above average for this time of year.
The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies with some patchy fog. Look for an overnight low of around 72 degrees.
It will be sunny and warm again on Columbus Day with an afternoon high around 92 degrees. The winds will be light out of the southeast.
It will be sunny and dry for much of the week ahead. A weak cold front will move through late tomorrow. This will only drop our temperatures a couple of degrees.
A stronger cold front will roll through South Texas late Thursday into Friday. This will bring us breezy and cooler weather as we get closer to next weekend.
