CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Our dry, hot weather pattern continues for now but next week looks more active as tropical moisture moves in.

We are watching a tropical wave near the Windward Islands which is forecast to develop as it moves west through the Caribbean Sea the next several days.

Forecast models show increasing tropical moisture as several upper-level waves move in from the east next week.

For today, only isolated showers and t-storms are possible and we'll continue to have plenty of heat with highs in the mid to upper 90s in Corpus Christi and 100 inland with heat indices of 103-108 during the afternoon hours.

Winds will stay light the next few days which will lead to areas of fog inland in the early morning hours with morning lows in the low to mid-70s.

The afternoon sea breeze will stay under 15 mph.
