CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A cold front swept through the Coastal Bend during the pre-dawn hours today, pushing fog and humidity into the Gulf of Mexico.
In its wake is dry, clear air that will give us sunny, mild days and chilly nights through Tuesday. Onshore flow returns Wednesday and Thursday, along with warming and humidity. Expect another cold front on Friday with isolated showers, and possibly a reinforcing Arctic front with the coldest air of the season by Saturday.
Upper level high pressure will push daytime temperatures into the middle to upper 70s Wednesday and Thursday as Gulf humidity returns on gusty south southeasterly winds. Our next cold front arrives sometime Friday but may produce only isolated showers with its passing due to marginal instability.
We are monitoring large-scale upper air patterns for a possible Arctic front that may arrive on Saturday and make for a very cold weekend. Stay tuned.
