CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A vigorous upper air disturbance will move from Del Rio to College Station overnight and Saturday and produce numerous showers and thunderstorms (especially over the norther half of the Coastal Bend) with locally heavy rain and possible severe weather. The activity calms down considerably once the upper level low moves by. Sunday will see little to no rain and better for outdoor plans. Rainfall totals will be anywhere from only a quarter of an inch to over 2.5" in the heavier activity in the northern half of the area.
Tonight a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 4am. Showers and thunderstorms will be moving across the area from the northwest some with locally heavy rain and a rain cooled low of near 70.
Saturday showers and thunderstorms likely in the morning moving east into the Gulf before noon then calming down during the afternoon with a high of 87.
Saturday night will be mainly cloudy but rather calm and sticky with a low of 73.
Sunday will be a more tranquil day with only isolated afternoon showers otherwise more sun and hotter and still humid with a high near 90.
