CORPUS CHRISTI — We had another afternoon with temperatures running well above average with some rather windy weather conditions.

We made it up to 79 degrees today with our peak wind gust at 41 miles per hour.

A few isolated showers also popped across the area. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly cloudy skies with an isolated shower possible. Look for an overnight low around 65 degrees. Tomorrow will be warm and windy again with a daytime high around 80 degrees.

A strong pacific front will arrive Wednesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms are likely with the frontal passage. There is also the possibility for a few strong to severe storms.

Heavy rain will also accompany some of these storms. Some areas could get between one and two inches of rain. The heaviest rainfall will likely be near the coast. It will be windy and cooler behind the front on Thursday.

The clouds will clear out for New Year's Eve. However you may want to grab a jacket if you are heading out. Temperatures will drop into the upper 30s to lower 40s. It will be sunny and a little warmer on New Year's Day. We should get up to about 65 degrees on Friday.
