CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was a little quieter with our weather here in South Texas for the end to the weekend.
However, there were still some some pretty strong thunderstorms across portions of the Coastal Bend as a tornado watch remains in effect through 10 p.m. Sunday.
It looks like we will remain in a rather wet weather pattern through midweek.
The forecast for tonight calls for more showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall possible. Expect an overnight low of 77 degrees.
Watch for scattered showers across the Coastal Bend tomorrow with a daytime high around 87 degrees.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will persist through at least Wednesday. It will be a little warmer and drier weather is expected for the latter half of the work week.
Daytime high temperatures will gradually warm into the low to mid 90s by next weekend.
There is another tropical disturbance forming way out in the Atlantic and it has a pretty strong chance of strengthening in the next five days.
There is nothing to worry about yet, but we'll keep an eye on it.
