CORPUS CHRISTI — It was a sunny and warm start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We made it up to 92 degrees this afternoon. We are on the hot and dry side of Tropical Storm Cristobal. That means our temperatures are going to be warming up even more the next couple of days. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies with an overnight low around 74 degrees. Tomorrow we can expect abundant sunshine with a light north wind. Look for a daytime high tomorrow around 95 degrees. Temperatures will be in the upper 90's Monday and Tuesday. Heat indices will range from 105 to 115 degrees. Use extreme caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors.

Cristobal will be bringing us some higher surf the next couple of days. A small craft advisory has been issued for our offshore waters. We can also expect some coastal flooding around the high tides. There is also a high risk of rip currents. People should be cautious when heading to the beaches and keep a close on those who may enter the water.
