CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The chance for some much-needed rain for the Coastal Bend is looking good beginning on Friday night.
A late season cold front will crash into moist, Gulf air and we are looking a period of scattered showers with a few thunderstorms in between.
Most of the rain will occur between Friday night and most of the day on Saturday. Rainfall totals are expected to be in the 1-2 inch range.
Skies will clear and the sun will be back for Mother's Day.

Friday: Partly cloudy and warm. Showers moving in late in the day. High 90.
Saturday: Cloudy with showers most of the day. A few thunderstorms possible. High 73.
