CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The large dome of Polar air that brought freezing temperatures to the Coastal Bend early today is moving east, and its circulation is now returning milder and wetter air to the region.
That warmth and moisture will interact with a cold front moving through the area on Wednesday to generate scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rainfall totals will be around a half to three-quarters of an inch along the coast, with lesser amounts inland.
Following the front will be more cold air, with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 and lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s through the end of the work week. After a fair and warmer weekend, another disturbance promises scattered showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday.
