CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Good morning!
It's another gorgeous day in the Coastal Bend, despite a chilly start. Chilly temperatures this morning are near average, but this afternoon you can expect high temperatures to be another 10 degrees above average. Enjoy this weather while it lasts because changes are on the way! As early as tonight, our winds will shift from the east and increase our humidity. As a result, drivers should expect patchy dense fog inland on Friday morning. Stronger onshore winds near 20 MPH will continue to bring moisture and humidity to the Coastal Bend.
The major storm system impacting the west coast today will arrive on South Texas by Sunday. We can expect the rain to begin Saturday night, with scattered showers and thunderstorms lingering through the beginning of next week. Accumulations over the next 7 days will range from a quarter inch in our southern zones to nearly an inch toward the Victoria Crossroads.
Have a fantastic day!
