CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Happy New Year!

  • A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m.
  • The first cold front of the year arrives today

This first Monday, we are dealing with dense fog across the Coastal Bend. This is expected to last until 10 a.m., which is about the time our next cold front arrives. Expect winds to pick up behind the front, clearing out the fog and slowly dropping temperatures throughout the afternoon. Expect highs in the middle 60s to occur by mid-morning instead of during the afternoon. Low temps on Tuesday morning will be in the low to middle 50s.
This week brings to two good opportunities for rain: all day Tuesday, and again Thursday evening into the first half of Friday. I'll keep an eye on rainfall accumulations, but generally we should expect a few tenths to nearly an inch over the next week.

Have a great New Year's Day!
