CORPUS CHRIS — We are looking for more seasonable temperatures today following a cold front that moved through the area overnight. The winds have shifted and we are seeing falling temperatures across the Coastal Bend this morning. The winds will be gusting out of the north at 15 to 20 miles per hour. A small craft advisory has been issued through 9 am. The forecast for this afternoon calls for mostly sunny skies and breezy weather conditions. Look for a daytime high around 70 degrees. It is going to be clear and much cooler this evening. Temperatures will likely drop down to the lower 40's overnight.
We will remain in a rather tranquil weather pattern for much of the week ahead. Expect plenty of sunshine with a gradual warm up through midweek. Another weak cold front will arrive late Thursday into early Friday morning. This will bring us more great weather for next weekend. Daytime highs for most of next week will be in the low to mid 70's. There is little chance for rain during the forecast period.
