CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A strong cold front with some arctic air will move through the Coastal Bend early Tuesday morning by daybreak. The front will bring with it periods of light rain strong northerly winds gusting to 40 mph and plunging temperatures that will result in a 45-50 degree drop from the high today to the low tomorrow night. All of this and still no freeze expected but still a lot colder.

Tonight will be muggy and very mild early with showers developing toward daybreak (ahead of the front) with temperatures in the 60's ahead of the front.

Tuesday temperatures will fall all day from the upper 50's at daybreak to the upper 40's during the afternoon with periods of only light rain and windy.

Tuesday night will be windy and cold with gradually clearing skies and a low of 38 and wind chills dropping to near 30.

Wednesday will be sunny and very dry with light winds and rather cool with a high of only 58.

Expect great weather for the end of the week as we slowly warm up to seasonal levels.
