Keeping a close eye on the Gulf this week

CORPUS CHRISTI — It was another fantastic day to be outdoors here in the Coastal Bend. We saw abundant sunshine with daytime highs in the mid to upper 80's. It looks like we will remain in a similar weather pattern for much of the week ahead. However, a weak frontal boundary will roll through the area overnight. This front will have very little impact on our weather. The winds will shift to the north for a short while. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies with mild weather conditions look for an overnight low around 66 degrees. It will be sunny and nice again on Monday. Look for Mostly Sunny skies with an afternoon high of 87 degrees.

We will be watching Tropical Storm Gamma as it moves through the Gulf this week. The path of this storm has not been very consistent. The main impacts for us appears to be higher surf and coastal flooding as the week progresses. Another storm will also likely move into the Gulf late in the week. We will continue to monitor both systems and keep you updated on any changes.
