CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Our summer heat and humidity are in full force this week as a dry weather pattern continues.

Except for a stray shower, we'll stay dry through the weekend. A ridge of high pressure aloft over the southwestern states expands and strengthens causing temperatures to increase as we head into the weekend.

Tuesday looks mostly sunny, hot, humid, and breezy with a high of 94 in Corpus Christi, near 100 inland and upper 80s at the beaches with southeast winds at 12-22 mph. Heat indices will reach 104-110 during the afternoon.

Overnight lows will stay in the mid-70s to near 80 with days heating up a few more degrees under mostly sunny skies as we head into the weekend with Corpus Christi reaching the upper 90s.

Heat indices will remain in the 102 to 109 range each day as southeast winds start to relax later in the week, staying under 20 mph by the weekend.
