CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Relentless heat and humidity will envelop the Coastal Bend today, prompting a heat advisory for feel-like temperatures between 105 and 115 this afternoon.

A cold front arrives overnight, however, bringing with it scattered showers and thunderstorms followed by more seasonable and much drier air.

The break from the humidity will last for the rest of the week and through the weekend. Rainfall totals will be a quarter to a half-inch from Corpus Christi northeastward, with lesser amounts elsewhere.

Most of the precipitation will end by mid-morning Wednesday. Highs will be in the middle 90s today, dipping to the lower 90s thereafter.

Lows in the middle 70s tonight will fall to the lower 70s for the rest of the week.
