CORPUS CHRISTI — We ended our weekend with a mixture of sunshine and clouds. However, it was definitely rather windy and humid. That does appear to be the trend for much of next week. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly cloudy skies with more warm and humid weather. Look for an overnight low around 79 degrees. It's going to be warm and windy again on Monday. Winds will be blowing out of the southeast at 15 to 25 miles per hour. We can also expect Heat Index values between 105 and 109 degrees. People need to use extreme caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors.
It should be a rather quiet week for our weather here in the Coastal Bend. Daytime highs will be in the lower 90's with overnight lows in the upper 70's. We can not rule out a stray shower or two. However, most of us will remain dry through the forecast period. We can expect the windy conditions to persist through midweek. Another round of Saharan Dust is likely to move in on Thursday. The forecast for the 4th of July calls for sunny and dry weather. We should see a daytime high around 93 degrees on Saturday.
