CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — The sweltering summer heat continues with mainly dry weather through the workweek as the upper-level ridge remains over the region, keeping dry air aloft and very limited rain chances.
As the ridge shifts west and allows a trough of low pressure aloft to dig into the Ohio Valley, our rain chance increases later this weekend and into next week. Isolated t-showers will be possible Sunday.
Wednesday looks mostly sunny, hot and humid with a high of 95 in Corpus Christi and upper 90s inland to near 90 at the beaches. Heat indices will reach 104-109 during the afternoon across the Coastal Bend as southeast winds increase to 15 mph.
