and last updated

CORPUS CHRISTI — It was a hot and humid start to the work week. We had heat index values above 110 degrees. A heat advisory was issued today. That means people should use extreme caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors. The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies and mild weather conditions. Look for an overnight low around 80 degrees. It will be hot and breezy again tomorrow. Expect the winds to be blowing out of the southeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour on Tuesday. A stray shower will also be possible. Expect a daytime high of 94 degrees tomorrow.
High pressure will continue to dominate our weather for the remainder of the forecast period. That means we can expect hot and dry weather through the weekend. It will also be rather breezy through at least Thursday. The temperatures will climb into the upper 90's as we get closer to the weekend. There is little chance for rain.
