CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Temperatures have started off once again on the cool side early this morning with many of us in the 50s.

A few clouds this morning will slowly begin to erode as the morning progresses and by the afternoon we should still see mainly sunny skies with warmer temperatures.

Here in Corpus Christi, we'll look for an afternoon high about 80 degrees with easterly winds around 7-14 mph.

Like yesterday, there is a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from 4 p.m. until midnight for the Nueces and Kleberg Islands. Water may reach up to the dunes and making driving along the beach a bit of a nuisance. Also, for beachgoers, there is a high risk for rip currents today. Please exercise caution.

Tonight the humidity will be on the rise and we won't cool off quite as much, but it will still be very nice and pleasant with an overnight low of 60 with light winds.

On Thursday, the clouds will move in even more and give us partly cloudy skies and temperatures will warm up even further with a high of 82. Winds will be out of the east-southeast around 6-12 mph.

Look for those temperatures to remain in the low 80s through the rest of the week and on into the weekend. Overnight lows will bump up into the low 60s, too.

Winds will be on the breezy side on Friday and Saturday with gusts just over 20 mph at times in the afternoon.

We're still tracking our next weather maker that is coming in the form of a cold front late Sunday and into Monday morning.

The front is not overly strong, but will be enough to bring us some cooler air again and an opportunity for some isolated showers as the front moves into the region bringing a northerly wind.

On Monday and Tuesday, highs will drop back into the low to mid-70s and overnight lows drop back into the mid-50s.

Have a great Wednesday!
