CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Good morning Coastal Bend!
Today is starting off on a tranquil note. Temperatures are a bit cooler to start, with inland locations waking up to the upper 40s, while most others are in the 50s.
Thanks to drier air, our temperatures will still grow to high that are once again above-average this afternoon.
With low humidity and plenty of sunshine, temperatures in the upper 70s are going to feel very comfortable.
Still, with dry grass and brush outside you'll want to be careful with any outdoor activities as sparks could get out of control when conditions are this dry.
Thankfully, there is less concern for fire danger because winds will not be strong, coming from the northeast 10-15 MPH.
The clouds will roll back in tonight and will start Friday off on a cloudy note. Temperatures will be a bit cooler, topping out in the upper 60s.
During the afternoon, we could see a few showers and maybe hear a rumble of thunder as changes start to move into our area.
Nearby low pressure ahead of our next cold front could trigger light rain, lingering into Friday night. Another cold front arrives on Saturday to bring us our best chance of rain this week.
Expect cooler temperatures near average as we wrap up the weekend with another cold front arriving on Tuesday with yet another chance for rain.
Have a wonderful day!
