CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A cold front slicing through the Coastal Bend late this afternoon is preceded by rain showers, but those showers are quickly moving away as cold air rushes in.
Clear, cold nights and sunny, mild afternoons will predominate over the coming week as surface high pressure lingers over the region. The cold front is associated with a vigorous upper level disturbance that is moving quickly through the Southern Plains.
That system will carry the moisture and instability away from South Texas, leaving dry, stable and cool conditions for the next seven days.
Expect highs from the upper 50s to upper 60s, with lows from the lower 40s to around 50.
