CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Good morning and Happy Friday!

Don't be discouraged by the cloudy skies today. We'll have plenty of sunshine to enjoy this weekend. Expect high temperatures to be limited to the middle 80s today. Our temperatures will stay within a very small range today because of how humid the air above us is. That will change this weekend, as a weak cold front pushes thorugh the Coastal Bend. The front will make for breezy conditions on Sunday afternoon with temperatures in the upper 80s and dew point temperatures a few degrees lower.

Next week will begin with sunny conditions and temperatures near 90ºF. Moisture will surge back in from the Gulf of Mexico by late Tuesday in Wednesday. This will bring humid conditions and increase rain chances on Wednesday and Thursday. Next Thursday, I'm tracking another cold front headed or the Coastal Bend. I think this front will bring much cooler and dried weather to our area.

There will be a low risk of rip currents at our area beaches this weekend, but coastal flooding may become an issue on Sunday.

Be safe and have a great weekend!
