Chilly Start to the Weekend

CORPUS CHRISTI — It's another very chilly start to our day here in the Coastal Bend. Temperatures are in the upper 30s to low 40s this morning. However, it does look like it is going to be a pretty nice weekend to be outdoors. We are going to remain in a rather tranquil weather pattern for the next several days. The forecast for today calls for mostly sunny skies with an afternoon high of 64 degrees. The winds will be light out of the northwest. It will be clear and cold again this evening. Expect an overnight low around 39 degrees. Sunday will bring mostly sunny skies with a daytime high around 70 degrees. We will see a gradual warming trend for the first half of the workweek. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 70s. The next cold front will drop into South Texas late on Wednesday. There will be slight chance for showers with the frontal passage. Temperatures will also be a little cooler Thursday and Friday.
