CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Changes in the weather pattern will bring us some relief from the dry, hot weather in the next week.
The first change comes this weekend as moisture builds ahead of a weak cold front which will stall to our north as upper-level waves of low-pressure move in from the Gulf and give us a chance of showers and storms with the best chance Saturday.
A second, stronger cold front is forecast to move in next Wednesday morning, cooling us into the 80s with a chance of rain. We'll keep watching the trends and will have updates.
For now, expect another hot, humid, and windy day today with a high of 96 in Corpus Christi and 100 inland with 90 at the beaches. Heat indices will range from 105-110 during the afternoon with southeast winds at 15-25 mph.
Thursday won't be as windy but it will still be hot and humid with a high of 95 and southeast winds at 10-20 mph with heat indices of 104-109.
