CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The big weather story is a couple of cold fronts that will have some of us reaching for a light sweater and an umbrella by early next week.
The first front will be weak and will blow through late tonight knocking down the temps a few degrees for Saturday and early Sunday.
The second cold front will be the first Arctic front of the season for much of the country, even bringing a wintry mix as far down as North Central Texas.
For the Coastal Bend our temperatures will drop into the 50s for lows and highs will be in the 60s.
We are also expecting some much needed showers and light rain to fall across the area through the early part of the next week.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with spot showers. Lows in the low 60s.
Saturday: First cold front turning breezy and not as warm. Highs: Middle 70s.
Sunday-Monday: Mostly cloudy with isolated showers Monday. Highs in the upper 80s.
Tuesday: Turning cooler and windy. Scattered showers and isolated storms. Temps falling into the 60's late.
