CORPUS CHRISTI — It was definitely a hot start to our holiday weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We made it up to 96 degrees this afternoon with a heat index value around 112 degrees. We can expect similar weather conditions for your Sunday. Use extreme cautions when spending extendend periods of time outdoorsm The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies with some patchy fog. Look for an overnight low around 75 degrees. There will also be partial lunar eclipse overnight. The best viewing time will be around 12:30 pm. The forecast for tomorrow calls for more abundant sunshine with a daytime high around 97 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the south at 10 to 15 miles per hour.
We will start to see increasing moisture again early next week. This will lead to a slight chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday. Drier weather is expect for the latter half of the week. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 90's. The overnight low temperatures will be in the upper 70's to around 80 degrees. It will also be a bit breezy most of the week.
