CORPUS CHRISTI — It's going to be another windy day here in the Coastal Bend following a cold front that rolled through the area. We did see a few showers with the frontal passage. However, most areas picked up less than a quarter of an inch of rainfall. The clouds are also clearing out and this will lead to abundant sunshine this weekend. The winds today will be blowing out of the the Northwest at 20 to 25 miles per hour. A Small Craft Advisory has been issued through the afternoon. The forecast for this evening calls for mostly clear skies and cooler weather conditions. Look for an overnight low around 46 degrees. The winds will be tapering off to about 5 to 10 miles per hour.
It is also going to be a very pleasant end to our weekend with plenty of sunshine and a daytime high around 71 degrees. We will see a mixture of sunshine and clouds for much of next week. A few light rain showers will be possible Monday. A warming trend is expected through midweek. Look for a daytime high around 80 degrees on Wednesday. The next front will arrive on Thursday. This will drop off our temperatures a bit for Thursday and Friday.
