CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It looks like we are going to see some pretty nice weather for this Thanksgiving holiday here in South Texas.

Look for a mixture of sunshine and clouds with a daytime high around 81 degrees with the winds light out of the northeast.

Tonight's forecast calls for increasing clouds and mild conditions and an overnight low around 70 degrees.

Friday will be a transitional day. We are finally expecting some much needed rainfall. It will likely develop in the afternoon hours. We should still make it up to 82 degrees on Friday.

A very strong cold front will roll through Friday night into Saturday triggering additional showers and thunderstorms to start the weekend. A few of these thunderstorms could be rather strong. Most of the rainfall will move out by Sunday.

We can expect much cooler air to settle into the area next week with an abundance of sunshine for much of that time Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 60's and overnight low temperatures will be in the 40's.
