A Damp Start to the Week

and last updated

CORPUS CHRISTI — It was a cloudy and windy end to our weekend here in the Coastal bend. We saw a daytime high of 77 degrees with a peak wind gust near 40 miles per hour. The forecast for tonight calls for more clouds and drizzle with an overnight low around 69 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the southeast at 15 to 20 miles per hour.

It looks like it's going to be rather cloudy and damp for the first half of the workweek. Expect a daytime high around 80 degrees tomorrow. A cold front will roll through the area on Monday evening. This will help to trigger a few more isolated showers. Look for more widespread rain on Tuesday and Wednesday. A few thunderstorms will also be possible. The drier air and sunshine will return Thursday and Friday. A gradual warm up is expected next weekend.
