CORPUS CHRISTI — We are waking up to more dense fog here in the Coastal Bend this morning. This will give way to cloudy and warm weather conditions today. However, a cold front will be moving through early this afternoon. This could trigger a few showers and thunderstorms with the frontal passage. The winds will also pick up out of the north. Look for an afternoon high today around 76 degrees. The forecast for tonight calls for windy and cooler weather. Look for an overnight low around 49 degrees with the winds out of the north at 15 to 25 miles per hour. A small craft advisory will likely be issued.
We can expect improving weather for the remainder of the holiday weekend. Look for a mixture of sunshine and clouds with a daytime high in the lower 60's both Sunday and Monday. We will see a gradual warming trend and increasing moisture again next week. Showers will be likely Wednesday and Thursday. The next big cold front will usher in some cooler temperatures for next weekend.
