CORPUS CHRISTI — It was another warm and windy afternoon here in the Coastal Bend. We made it up to 78 degrees today with a peak wind gust of 32 miles per hour. We can expect similar weather conditions again tomorrow. However, a strong Pacific Storm system will be moving through the area late on Wednesday. There is a pretty good chance for showers and thunderstorms with the frontal passage. It will also be much cooler behind the front. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly cloudy skies with an overnight low around 62 degrees. Tuesday will be breezy and warm with a daytime high of 77 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the southeast at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s again on Wednesday before the very chilly air moves in on Thursday. Daytime highs will only be in the upper 50s Thursday afternoon. The forecast for New Year's Day calls for daytime high of 65 degrees with morning temperatures in the 30s.
