CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Wet conditions were present across portions of the Coastal Bend today, but it should be drier on Sunday.
There were some strong thunderstorms across the area which developed, producing gusty winds and heavy downpours. A few areas picked up more that two inches of rain.
A frontal boundary to our north is what helped trigger these storms. Drier air will be filtering into South Texas for the end to the weekend.
The forecast for tonight calls for some lingering wet weather with an overnight low around 76.
Tomorrow will be mostly sunny and hot with an afternoon high around 95 with light winds out of the southeast.
High pressure will be building across Texas for much of next week with mostly sunny skies and hot weather conditions.
Look for daytime high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s with the overnight low temperatures in the mid 70s.
A few stray showers could be returning to the area as we get closer to next weekend.
