Corpus Christi – A rather strong cold front is pushing through South Texas this evening. The temperatures have already started cooling down and the winds have been picking up. There is a decent chance for a few showers and isolated thunderstorms overnight and early Sunday morning. The forecast for tonight calls for windy and cooler conditions with an overnight low around 49 degrees. The winds will be gusting out of the northeast at 15 to 25 miles per hour. A small craft advisory has been issued through Sunday evening.
The windy and cool weather will stick around for the end our weekend. Our daytime high on Sunday will be about 30 degrees cooler than we saw this afternoon. Look for an afternoon high around 55 degrees. The best chance for showers and thunderstorms will be in the morning. Temperatures will drop into the mid 40’s early Monday morning. A few showers could also linger for the start of the workweek. We will see a gradual warm up throughout the week. Temperatures will be around 80 degrees again on Thursday and Friday. Another front will be approaching early next weekend.
