The coldest air of the entire season/winter is headed south tonight through the northern Plains and the Coastal Bend will get a glancing blow of this very cold air beginning with frontal passage before daybreak on Saturday. The front will produce only isolated showers but lots of wind Saturday and colder temperatures. Another strong cold front will arrive next Tuesday night.

Tonight expect isolated showers then turning windy and cooler late with a low of 56.

Saturday will be sunny but windy (peak gusts to 40 mph) and cooler with a high of 66.

Saturday night will be clear breezy and colder with a low of 36 but wind chills in the 20’s.

Sunday looks super with light winds sunny skies and rather cool with a high near 60.

MLK day will also be sunny and warmer but winds will rapidly increase Monday afternoon and evening in response to our next cold front.

Have a good weekend.
