After a round of some rainfall to end out last week, we were left with a couple of beautiful weekend days in the Coastal Bend with lots of sunshine to go around.
Unfortunately, all that sunshine will slowly be winding down as we head into tonight as southwesterly winds aloft will bring in some clouds from the Pacific.
Tonight will still be a cold night as surface high pressure sinks in from the north. Overnight lows here in the city will fall into the middle 40s; inland areas in the low 40s. Winds: NNE 7-14 MPH
Monday, we’ll still have surface high pressure in place which will keep temperatures chilly with highs only forecast to reach the upper 50s under mainly cloudy skies. Winds: NNE 7-14 MPH
By Tuesday, a weak disturbance will move in from the west and begin to increase showers and rainfall over South Texas late Monday through early Wednesday. With the extra clouds and some rainfall, highs on Tuesday will struggle to get out of the upper 50s.
The disturbance moves out by Wednesday afternoon and rain chances will fall again. Temperatures though, will start to increase as highs will shoot to the lower 70s on Wednesday afternoon. Cloud coverage will remain plentiful through the end of the week.
Thursday and Friday, humidity will be on the increase and it’ll be warm with temperatures maxing out in the upper 70s.
A strong cold front will move through early Saturday morning with a few showers and thundershowers. Winds will increase from the north around 20-30MPH with gusts over 40MPH possible. This front will clear out the clouds and humidity and temperatures throughout the day on Saturday will be falling. Lows on Sunday morning begin in the upper 30s with highs in the middle 50s with a lot of sunshine next Sunday.
