We are entering a period of unsettled weather as a large west coast storm system with associated cold front approaches the lone star State and move through Saturday morning. Rain in the form of showers and thunderstorms will move through the area mainly Friday and Friday night with locally heavy rain possible especially over the northern half of the Coastal Bend and northward into central Texas. Much cooler air will follow the front.

Thursday will be breezy muggy and milder with isolated showers and a high of 72 under cloudy skies.

Thursday night will be breezy and very mild with isolated showers again and a low of 66.

Friday will be unsettled with scattered to numerous showers and thundershowers some with locally heavy rain and a high of 74.

Friday night we will have numerous thundershowers some heavy with locally heavy rain and a low of 59.

Expect slow clearing on Saturday afternoon with chilly temperatures for the remainder of the weekend.
