Warm and muggy tomorrow but a big cool down on the way

Our temperatures have been on a bit of a roller-coaster ride the last several days and pretty typical for this time of year as cold fronts start to bring us a taste of fall and winter.

Today we had a few more clouds early in the afternoon, but have thinned out some allowing temperatures to be way above normal and top out at 89 officially out at the airport.

Tonight will be muggy and mild with some patchy dense fog once again bringing down visibility to 1-2 miles over a good portion of the area by Thursday morning.  Winds: SSE 4-8 MPH

Thursday will feature more cloud coverage and some isolated thundershowers as a frontal boundary edges northern sections of the Coastal Bend in areas like Beeville, Three Rivers, George West and Refugio.  Won’t see much in the way of temperature cooling down much for those areas yet, but afternoon highs will be in the low to mid-80s versus the upper 80s.

A good push from the north will finally drive the cold front south and send it barreling through the region early Friday morning and will result in overcast and windy conditions, numerous showers and thundershowers and temperatures falling throughout the day ending in the low 50s.  Average rainfall amounts will vary from half an inch to a 1-1.5 inches of rain.

Saturday will remain chilly, windy and overcast with a few more hints of sunshine on Sunday, Veteran’s Day.

Another stronger cold front will arrive early Monday morning with some more scattered showers, but we’ll eventually clear by Tuesday and Wednesday leading to some of the coldest temperatures of the season by Wednesday morning.

Stay Tuned!
