CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A vigorous upper-level disturbance rotating around low pressure in the Southern Plains will bring thunderstorms to South Texas on Thursday night and Friday, but slight storm chances will persist through the weekend.
More heat and less rain are expected early next week.
While the Southern Plains low moves into New England, the trailing disturbance lingers around South Texas through the weekend, resulting in continued rain chances.
Eventually, this disturbance moves southwest away from the Coastal Bend, diminishing rain chances by early next week.
Highs should be in the upper 80s, to around 90, with lows in the lower-to-middle 70s.
