You can have cell phones pulled out of the goal post and other prop-driven football celebrations.
All of that doesn’t scratch the surface of Jon Gott’s foamy celebration after the Canadian Football League’s Ottawa RedBlacks capped their regular season with a victory over Toronto to earn a playoff spot.
After Ottawa scored a clinching touchdown, the 6-foot-3, 297-pound Gott ran to his girlfriend in the stands, who handed him a cold beer. Gott grabbed it and slaked his thirst in a couple of mighty swigs, smashing the can on his helmet with the beer cascading down his burly beard.
Time for a cold one.

Gott told Sportsnet he had been scheming about the touchdown four years ago, but finally decided to let it rip over the weekend.
“I got a little thirsty and I thought I’d quench it,” the former Boise State standout said. “That was fun, it was all in fun. It was the last regular-season game … It was all in good fun, so hopefully, I don’t get in trouble too much.”
Sportsnet reports Gott will not be fined for his foamy celebration. And even better, Ottawa finished the regular season with an 11-7 record, nailing down the Eastern Division championship.
