Maddie Garlough of Port Aransas has been surfing since she can remember. And she is really good, ranked number 8 in North America, the 16-year-old has Olympic dreams. She has been selected to the junior Olympic team. Coming up in 2020, surfing will be a demonstration sport at the summer Olympics in Japan.
Maddie is heading to Huntington, California to begin training. She hopes to be ready to go in time for the 2024 summer games in Los Angeles.
