Veterans Memorial’s Joseph Meador ran the opening kickoff back 84 yards for a touchdown and the Eagles were on their way to a 49-14 win over Flour Bluff Saturday afternoon at Buc Stadium. The Eagles win the class 5A region IV title.
Veterans Memorial led 35-7 at halftime and never looked back en route to advancing to next week’s state semifinal.
The Eagles will play Cedar Park Friday night at Alamo Stadium in San Antonio at 7:30pm
The winner advances to the state championship game.
